Making Carbon Fiber Props

Can someone shed some light on how you make Carbon Fiber props?
Some pics and explanations would be great.

Thanks,
Jamie

Thats like asking how to design the worlds best F3P model. Do you have moulds? A design already? Materials? Any past experience working with composites? Its not a question that can be quickly answered!

i have some experience with composites. But Im curious how people are making their molds. Making a prop being its shape and size seems difficult to imagine on how its done.
Figured someone would jump in.

I havnt had any experience building carbon props for F3P models.. But just a single sheet of carbon? No real airfoils or anything? I suppose the models you fly them on dont have airfoils either

Out of interest what size props are most of you guys running on these things? I might have to give one or two a go!

9-10 inch props for indoor pattern. They are single sheet of carbon. They do have an airfoil. Best to keep the pitch very low.

So when people make carbon props for these things what's the main goal? Light weight or increased power/efficiency? I image weight for those models is more important then almost anything else? Im always looking for new projects to play with!
