KF Swifty wing - need advice on powering this flying wing
Im hoping i can get some help on what sort of motor, prop, esc and battery would be suitable for this airframe. Its 60cm (23. 5 inches) and 47grams, 3 step KF, pusher.
I designed this in illustrator, its based on a swift/bonsai.

Nice looking wing!
I've had good success with wings this size (~ 24 - 26 inch wing span) using a 2208-12 motor from RCTimer http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo...wt&goodsid=113. It's 1800 KV I use an 8 x 4 prop, a 20 amp ESC (also from RCTimer), and a 3S 800 mah lipo. Since the 30 amp ESC is only a few pennies and grams more, I've been thinking about switching to that one just to get some added "safety factor". Hope this helps! Good luck.... |

Thanks for the info! Though going by what some of my other planes have in them it seems like it would be a bit too heavy/powerfull. But it gives be a good idea of the ball park im in.
Im thinking ill try a 1300kv blue wonder with 10a esc and 500mah 3s.(which is gear i have) I do prefer a slower/lighter plane. |
