IMO, plastic hulls and nitro don't mix well... especially older brittle plastic hulls. It would take some serious reinforcing to make it handle the weight and vibration of a nitro setup.

Hi guys.

Graupner sold the Systems in an electric and a nitro version.
But due to the fact that the abs hull looks very brittle, i also would try to find a new hull if you like that very special boat. Donīt waste money and time for that old hull.
Unfortunately Graupner doesnt sell the hull as a spare part anymore.

By the way, a pretty fast (75kp/h) and brand new systems can look like this :

I've been thinking about patching it up a little and converting it to nitro .I have a small nitro motor available and I dont have a battery charger or speed control for this old boat:-(.
So I honestly haven't decided yet.
But your boat looks pretty sweet thanks for sharing the info and the pic.

Thanks .

Meanwhile i replaced the plastic rudder und strut by much more precise aluminium parts.
The boat ist now very stable and runs great at a speed of around 47mph.
