HoryzonHD V3 1080p FPV cam Official new Thread, reviews coming:D

Due to too much information in the old Horyzonhd thread,
I open a new thread, so guys can see the new test videos and reviews.
around 15 test horyzonhd v3 were sent to our reviewer and testers
covered most reviewers in the this hobby.

2013.5.6 update: New batch V3 (bought after April 2013) flash failor recovery solution:http://www.foxtechfpv.com/product/Ho...V3recovery.rar

HoryzonHD V3 is a revolutionary Full HD 1080P camcorder and FPV camera.
It has a seperated cam module connecting the mainboard module by 20cm cam wire.
It creats a lot of possibility and saves a lot of weight for HD FPV and other applications.

Many improvements are made on Horyoznhd V3 from hardware and software.
It could be the easiest to use HD FPV camera in the world.
we designed new keypad, new video/photo trigger, new video out port
and the most important of all.
You can still have a full 1080p cam onboard with just 48g extra weight.

Hardware:
Horyzonhd V3 is a cam that needs no DIY job.
Fully shielded, UHF friendly, specially made photo, video trigger and av out port.
this port is safer than the normal 3 pin plug on FPV cameras that doesn't break easily.
we also put in 2 heat shrinks in the box ,so if you want to remove the monitor to save weight.
that's fine.

Software:

we reduced image noise and made the image looks more natural.
also start-up recording was added. so normally you install it on your plane.
power it up through the V-reg.
and plug in the main power battery ,then it just works as a normal FPV camera while it's recording 1080p video.

if you remotely trigger the video recording on and off.
you even don't need to press the buttons after setup.

Love the list of features on this thing ..... doesn't get much better out of the box for FPV in my opinion.

Looking forward to getting my hands on one to see how it performs

Hey everyone. I got my V3 several days ago. I just finished mounting it on my new foam board quad =). I'm heading out tomorrow to take some preliminarily video with it. I'm excited. So nice to have a FPV cam with this many features designed with the FPV'er in mind, so light weight and so flexible for different mounting options. Nice job Fu, this cam keeps getting better and better. I'll post my videos here.
Later,
Will

I'm seriously considering picking up one of these but Foxtech are sold out of the 3 way switchs so I ordered a Security2000 camera until they come back in stock.

What I am concerned about though is if you mount it on a pan/tilt system will the ribbon cable eventually snap with the continued movement. Can anyone comment?

Hey guys , just recieved my V3 in the mail , and first impression are very good!
I also own a v1 , and this new version is miles ahead regards to build quality and easy of use.
Im sure you remember those horrible buttons on the older versions , well in v3 they are actually buttons you CAN PUSH
Im also very pleased to see video out connector has improved , before it was a USB plug , now its a 4 pin servo plug ,
i feel much safer flying with this and not haveing to worry about maybe the usb connector slipping out and me loosing the video feed.

Other than that , the camera turns on and starts HD recording when you plug in power , so just be aware of that in case you turn on power ,
and are not 100% ready to fly yet , it will consume space on your SD card, im not sure if there is a way to stop auto recording when power on?
Maybe Fu can answer?
I will do a flight test once the weather gets better, im NOT flying in -20c !

Thanks Fu for a great camera!

just ordered mine, I wonder what we should expect from the AV out , compared to a 690tvl wdr, looking at the sun, or shadows on a sunny day.

hd vid looks good as per online reviews.

well, avout should be slightly better than GOPRO, and will be no big surprise as it's converted from HD video
thanks

I flew my v2 for 6mo almost every day. Several hard crashes. No problem with the cable for pan and tilt. I've tried other cameras after mine broke. Nothing compares. Definitely buy a v3.
