What size? 50-60" would be nice. A few years back I built and destroyed a 1/2A sized Herr AT-6. It was a botched attempt (actually, my first attempt) at e-conversion, and ended up heavy, to the point where it was beyond my flying skills at the time. Ideally it would be something like a Tritle or Rake design -- ie., light.

I just remembered this thread I started and wanted to thank all who contributed. I've got some great suggestions that could turn into future builds. Just to put a finish on it, I've decided to build Ivan Pettigrew's 100" PBY Catalina. I've always admired his planes and decided I'm as ready as I ever will be to take on the challenge.
