I have it set up for a strait run. Leadfeather did not want that on his so he put 1mm carbon in a plastic tube.

Thanks for the pic, that is what I thought. The 1mm c/f rod is pretty flexible, that's a smaller dia. that I'm used to.I think I've been using 1.5mm.Being winter now gives me time to gather what I need.Really all I need is corrosion x and a prop adapter. The build shall commence, with a few months to nice warm weather, I'll be taking it slow.

One more Question,I'm assuming the wingtips have the same angle as the first ezfly?Looks to be around 25 degrees?

Wingtips are at the same angle.

I used 1.5 rod in the picture.
LF used 1mm but it was in a plastic tube so he could route it along the fuselage.

I pulled my servos forward...for some reason my build was coming out tail heavy. The rudder was easy and I used the 1.5 mm carbon. With the forward servo, the elevator push rod needed to be curved. I used .032" wire in a plastic tube for this job.

After LF's model I stretched the nose a little to help on the CG.

Thanks for all the info, well I said I would take my time,Yeah right. All assembled and gluing motor stick on.I taped 9g servos in their spots and with my 850 3s up front I am balancing about 1/2" forward of the spar.
Were you guys flying with the c.g. on the spar?

About 1/2" in front of the spar.

I Thought I'd post a couple pic's of where I'm at.Waiting on Corrosion x to finalize. On the bottom I mixed GG+black paint and coated it,then before it was totally dry I applied clear packing tape, then hit it with the iron.Seems to stick really well.
LF I think you said it would slide on grass with the tape, will it fly off grass?

Looks good.
Mine will slide on grass with just the bare foam and will take off easily. With the high thrust line it helps to give some up elevator while on the ground to keep the tail from wanting to tip up.
