The elevators on the 1/3 scale scratch design Sukhoi SU-31 I am currently building will be independently driven by a pair of 8kgcm servos running at 6v. The pushrods will be about 610mm long and I was contemplating using 4mm carbon tube with titanium end fittings simply because I have some left over after building my 1/3 scale Pitts S1C.

I would appreciate your thoughts of whether these seem strong enough, the plane will have enough power, and will be light enough, to perform some 3D manoevers, so Im expecting to have +/-40deg movement.
