Hi rc fellows, i have a question and will appreciatte some answers or link directions were i can find them.
I have a few used engines that im not planing to use anytime soon so i will like to know the following:
1-best product to be uses for long time storage and will protect 2 and 4 stroke engines from getting gummed, rust and stuck?
Please be very specific with brand name of product and type or special item.
2-best storage technique? I noticed that the fluids dont stay inside the engine, eventually they find a way out.
Engines are in florida,so its florida weather.

First you want to run the engine dry.
If you can use a FAI fuel with a castor blend.

Shalor Rislone oil treatment works fine also. It is available in any auto parts store. I've used it to store engines for several years. Good idea to put them in a plastic bag to control the mess.

Oil liberally with Marvel airtool oil. You don't have to drown it. Just make sure it's worked well into the bearings.

The customary brand used in most ARO (After-Run Oil) is Dexron. Prefer the latest IV.

It is the type GM use and most others too (but not FLM), for their auto-transmission and their power-steering.

You can get it in virtually any auto supply shop.
