yes!, ive had my 1/16 turnigy SCT for a few weeks now . i cant quite tell because it so loose, but it seems the bottom of the wheel are angled in?

toe in/out is easy, just steering rods.
i have to figure out some way to move the top wishbones L/R (top view) for camber

but im not sure about caster, as the wheel knuckle has only one direction of freedom(yaw) on the caster mount. how would i add adjustable "twist" for caster?

also, that site doesn't give recommended toe-in/out for 4WD, would you know?

Depends on what you want, toe in front helps with stability on the straights, slight toe out front will help with turning on twisting circuits.

another aha moment :P turns out that i wasn't crazy: caster angle cant be changed without getting a new c-block according to

Adjustable caster sounds nice, the main problem will probably be to keep it durable as well.

The easiest way to adjust caster is to just shim the whole front bulkhead to a new angle. It's not adjusting caster in the truest sense, but it has the same effect at the wheels.

sorry for the slow response.

currently im working on shocks/diff case/ all that stuff around there. and thinking about using the e-revo "flat shock" style. like this:


and it shows how to do caster fairly easier by using the ball cup things grr why didnt i think of that... i think ill stick to the caster blocks that i have for now.

i was trying this for caster:

but i found that to be too much of a pain as the sphere bearings just don't give enough freedom


the shocks i design will probably be similar to the "Traxxas Revo Front or Rear" from here: http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/shocks.html

and a question: what level of "stretch" should the shocks be when the suspension has no load (like if you were holding the rc in the air by the chassis)? neutral?

here is the CF 2mm base (thicker?) with A-arms, wheels, castor blocks, etc. ill add some sort of cf bracing later.

the grey 55m^3 boxes are the diffs (empty) and used for a quick mount test. 2x12in total car dimensions.

The 'i' shape is for integrated bumpers. i also plan to add some sort of wheel well.

next up is: dogbones, shock towers, wheel wells and later: the diffs

for some reason i cant get the wheel suspension parts to move in this assembly. anybody with solidworks experience here? i cone move the individual wheel susp parts in that assy, but once i add that assy to this one in the picture, the parts act like the are fixed.
