Jim,

A possibility would be to have a second rcvr mounted on or near the transmitter. Plug a couple of standard servos into the rcvr so they duplicate the aileron and elevator movement in the model - could extend the arms. Then hold your left hand on the servos as you move the stick with your right. The left hand senses the actual control surface position for any stick deflection. Would probably require an attachment to the stick like suggested by eflight above.

It takes some getting used to, but it works. I've used it on test fixtures.
