Question
Newbie question

Okay guys, sorry for the newbie question but....I am looking at wanting to buy a transmitter. When I have been looking I keep seeing where it says with or without a module. My question is what is a module and what does it do. Thanks guys.

The transmitter is the radio in your hand. The receiver is the little device inside the plane that talks to your transmitter.

Im guessing the module is another term for the receiver.

the module is the Transmitter part that says 'Spektrum' or 'Futaba' or 'Spectra' or 'AnyLink' .. etc.
it's the modulation type for the particular radio brand.
I realized the other day there is a pretty good thread on the subject of your fist transmitter... when you're in a decent spot for a little reading (it's not too technical)

good luck! LOTS of info to digest
