Conservatives are still mad that they voted for this guy

TWICE

Obama approval in the 50s regardless of extreme hatred of him from the right

Let me guess. There is not a single highly ranked president whose term was not marked by the vast expansion of state power.

And Clinton just got declared "Father of the Year".
Just more of the liberal love fest, to hide the epic failure of these presidents.

If you read the fine print of that article all those involved were both blind and deaf.

The news that Bill Clinton was chosen as father of the year by The National Father's Day Council has brought for the scoffers. Really, the dude with Monica Lewinsky? The man who humiliated his wife?

They're wrong. A man can be an imperfect husband and still be a great Dad.
Utter BS.

A buddy of mine sent me this in an email. Not sure were he go it...

I'm 27 years old. Never cared about guns. Never been politcally active. Never cared about government. Never cared about the constitution. Always thought people who carry guns every where they go were just paranoid gun nuts. Like the rest of society I have always been concerned most about those things which affect me most directly and apathetically indifferent to everything else.

Until Barack Obama.

He has made us realize that tyrants can still rise even in a democratic republic. He has made us research what exactly the 2nd amendment means and what the framers intended by it. He has made us question and think about everything we hear on the news. He made us care about our country. He has created an atmosphere of fear of the unkown and decay of freedom. He has shown us how easy it is to divide a country. He has shown us how naive we are in believing that injustice and oppression could never claw it's way into the the United States government. He has shown us the true nature of socialism. He has given us a reason to suddenly engage in the debate where millions upon millions of us never cared enough to do so before. He has embolden our sense of national pride precisely because he has attacked it. He united us because he has divided us. He has single handedly armed the worlds largest free militia and added millions to its ranks. He has increased the respect for the armed services because he has sought to ridicule them.

But most importantly; he is waking us up. There is not a single worldly foe the great people of the United States of America can not defeat when united against a single cause. Sure we make our fair share of mistakes, but more importantly, we FIX them. If there is a lesson to be learned from such a short history of the United States it is this; the patience of the people of the USA is very long, but it is not infinite. Everytime we have been compelled to act, our resolve has never been defeated, and never will be.

I believe that Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to this country because he is waking us up.

Power Corrupts. George Washington was indeed a special person at a special time and two things stand out. Turning over his sword to Congress after the Revolution and second was his refusing a third term.

Had to get all the way to a progressive to get past the two terms and does anyone imagine that BHO wouldn't try if he could break the four term mark.
