I posted a simple RDS excel calc here for some ideas. The only negative thing then is to dial in the speed of the TE deployment so the whole TE travels up/down at same speed ( if you want to get that anal-ick-tickle). With just a 45 bend, at 15 degrees of flap (for launch) you can go up the line at least 85mph and be well within the servos dynamic torque specs. I say at least because I know the chord of Vixen's flaps is not as big as what I am used to. What is the AR on that thing 20+? And thanks for taking the time to do a build log on a pre-production model. Takes confidence in the builder and manufacturer to do such as you will be exposed to much scrutiny! But, that is one of the best ways to advance quickly. I really appreciate it! Thank you! |
