Tappet, the last time I flew one of DP's ships was this reject, second hand thing called the Insanity, it did me good. I will take a chance on the Vixen for sure.

There is no detriment to a properly designed V tailed model. The Vixen tracks as well or better than anything I've flown in recent years. Why do You think there's a prejudice towards v-tails here in the US? I've noticed a lot of pilots outside the US have had a high degree of success flying V-tails but we seem to shy away from them. I will say that after flying the Egida I am more open minded towards v-tails in general. The plane looks good DP, can't wait to see one in person.

DP's own opinion on V's and Cross tails has changed. I still contend that for pure yaw handling a vertical fin is better than a V. But there are plenty of pros for V tails that lend to an overall glider design that works very well. Those pros make that yaw handling difference close to negligible in consideration of the other plusses they offer.
