This looks to be a great event in a beautiful area. It's a double size gym that opens into a cafeteria space. There will be lots of tables with chairs for set up as your pit area around the flight zone. More tables will be open for the swapmeet. The swapmeet isn't just for micro and indoor stuff. Bring all of your unwanted RC gear and turn it into $$$.

Just to clarify, the space is only the size of one full court. There is a wall that adjoins the court with a small cafeteria/auditorium that will be open. We have not yet had a chance to fly there and see how much of the adjoining space can be utilized. The 30 tables may also be a bit overzealous to hope for. I am not even sure how many tables the school actually has. However there should be plenty of room for pits and swap tables.
The main focus of this event is to gather some friends for flying, and to bring a new type of recreation for the kids to our town here in Greenwood Lake. Thanks to the local government we now have a new park flying field (with more fields on the way) and a place to have a small indoor event. This event will be marketed to the student population here in Greenwood Lake, and there will be activities for them to participate, and possibly get involved with our hobby. We are limiting the pilots to 50 due to the size of the event. Bring your small stuff ![]() Any questions, please pm me. Anthony Sole |

Doubt I can make this, and if I do it'll be more family outing than fly fly fly for me. The targeting for children is an excellent angle, I want to get my children involved but am not a good enough flyer/teacher to be impactful at it.
But very excited that this event is being set up and an opportunity to see some of the long timers of the hobby from my area. |
