Question about 9X running ER9X with backlight & internal DSM2 mod
I should be getting my 9x in the mail soon and I want to run ER9X firmware. I can't decide if the Smartieparts board is worth 45 bucks. I'm comfortable with soldering, but I'm worried that all the things I want to do are going to interfere with each other. First I need to install either the Smartieparts board or the normal ribbon cable/connector. I also got the backlight kit, and I'm putting a DSM2 module in that I took from a stock Blade transmitter. Can I install all three of these with no issues?
edit: I'd really like to avoid the smartieparts board but I can't find a parts list for the DIY method. All I know is that I need a 6-wire ribbon and some kind of connectors.
