Type of cement for type VII

hello everyone, I'm a rookie, but i have decided to assemble a revell 1/72 type VII, and convert it. Which kind of cement could i use that water restant?, by the way,thanks to all for the great answers and all the info you guys provide.

A liquid styrene glue. Like these:

These actually soften the plastic, welding the pieces together, and gives you a strong cohesive bond. Suitable for water once dry.

by the way guys which model is easier to convert and sturdier the type VII or the gato class? being both revell 1/72

I have built only the Gato, but have a type VII on the build list. I too will be getting a Big Dave wtc for the type VII. As far as easier I can not answer. The Gato is a difficult build, but so worth it. I can imagine the type VII has its own set of issues. As far as sturdier, both can be sturdy or not depending on how you handle it and construct it. I have broken bits and pieces off my Gato sometimes multiple times. That is what dry dock is for, maintenance.

thank you tchalfant for your response, I'm going for the looks of the VII, by the way dave just answered me, he says he is revising the type VII wtc, that it should be ready in a few weeks.

Try the Sub-Driver forum. Dave has an excellent build thread on the 1/72 Gato and shows in great detail how he cements the hull halves together. A lot of interesting build information for the 1/72 subs.
