Anyone tried 3 of them?

@sparkyjohn and others

Has anyone tried all 3 of them?

I wonder which quality and overall flight performance is best?

Is it basically the same or not? Which one was first?

@sparkyjohn I can see 2 of them on your picture. Are those different brands?
Which one do you prefer? Hisky FBL100 or Wl Toys V922 and why?

HiSKY came first, and several months later Turnigy and WLToys came out with rebranded versions. There are some obvious cosmetic differences and I've noticed some slight variations with some of the parts, but for all intents and purposes (save pricing) they are the same. (I think same design/contract manufacturer... someone in another thread mentioned this)

I only have the HiSKY but have replaced most parts using V922 parts (and aftermarket MCPx parts).

My profile pic has the HiSKY in the foreground. The one in the back is my starter coaxial 3-channel JXD 333 (Protocol Skyline in the US).

For specific review of each version of the helis I would recommend you visit the heli specific thread for differences in TX, etc.

I have received my hisky fbl100 few days ago and is great It feels much nicer than v922. It is quieter, more powerful and more stable with better tail hold and less vibration. Maybe because its brand NEW but still I like it better.

Are you flying on stock TX or maybe HT-8?
Im trying to improve my HT-8 and er9x settings for Turnigy 9XR.

Any good settings would be appreciated

... the three brands (and a fourth in germany) are all based upon the absolute identic product (producer: benma) imho...

only the tx-rx-software differs. said that its obvious the v922 has same special features (pseudo 3d-mode) and the tx and rx-elements are not really interchangable at a first sight... the ht8-modul (hisky) seems to egalize the differences...

so differences in flight performance depends on better lipos, stiffer blades, higher headspeed allowed by the tx and fresh motors both in servos and at the rotors (main, tail) ... wear is noticable. so keep them in stock as sparepart...

I have tried them both on HT-8 module and settings found on the web. You are probably right that newer model sounded better and have more power because its new. Also Hisky blades seems to be nicer and keep it more stable.

I am not quite happy with my er9x settings for ht8 module.

Do you happen to have good settings with dual or triple rates for it?
Is it possible to change gyro sensitivity or level the model with a switch via ht8?

You can search the review and discussion threads for the TX settings.

As for brushless upgrade, no one has done it yet to our knowledge, but you can take a look at post #2 of this thread for some early thoughts on it. Due to the round tail mount on all tuner frames available it will almost be a complete structural overhaul - but should be loads of fun to do!

Go for it and let us know!

why does everybody always make such a drama out of switching from the square boom to the round?? those are all standardized parts - and contrary to me, all of you guys KNOW how to solder and are willing and able to do it ... I wish I was in that position - I would already have what you talking about. But until I become a solder guy, all of this will be nothing but a dream ...

All you need is the right equipment. Soldering becomes easy when you do. Search for "eevblog soldering tutorial" on youtube.

ht8 with er9x setup for v922

I have found only 1 or 2 different settings and they are both very basic ones.
Both created on a template and not that perfect to fly.

I am slowly working on my own to have proper dual or triple rate and expo as well as curves but I thought I could try some other setup from someone else.

It looks like not many people is using ht8 or/and willing to share.
HT8 documentation is giving me funny results and I will probably keep trying

My setup was taken from here
I have also posted there to find out more with no answer so far

I wonder if gyro on channel 5 is doing something and how to control it as well as how to create most universal setup with few different rates and perfect curves.

.......................... HiSky.. Turnigy WLToys. Blade
.......................... FBL100. FBL100. V922... mCP X

Landing Skids............. Yes ... Yes ... Yes ... No *1

1. mCP X (KBDD) mounting pins are wider by ~0.4 mm, requires filing. Orange KBDD gear fits without modification. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=366
I've just received some spare parts from HK. Turnigy FBL100 landing skid is a perfect fit on the MCPX, no filling required
