Or some make them out of aluminum and attach with set screws like this

This frame kit turned out to be the 1/8 scale, and the motor I have will not work, what electric motor will push this thing around and look good. No racing just haveing fun. I build thing's light and I dont think its going to be heavy, just a lot of bord feet to get on plane.

How long is the finished hull (no hardware)? That should help give an indication of power required.

I thought you ordered 1/10th scale? I know he has the kit in 1/10th also maybe he made a mistake

It's 46" x 21 1/2", It's a big Boat. I dont like Gas so it might just be a wall Queen.

I thought I did to, But It's here now and I put it together and it is a real nice kit, I'll finish it and scale it out.

I'm getting ready to intall my flex drive. Are there any threds on doing this the proper way. I have been given some advise but not to srue of some of the advise I have been given

where are you putting the motor mount? What have you been told?

I also think there are milder setups that would run on 8s that would be fine for what you want

I'm putting the motor just forward of the cockpit, and I agree with you jim, I think that a smaller set up will work just fine for what I am going to do. I'll take a picture of the set up when I get the rough in. I figure that this boat will weigh in at about 4 to 5 pounds.

.150 and .180 .180 is too small for you maybe even .180 you might have to go to .250
