I dont belong to any club Jim, I just like the boat I used to watch them many years ago when Hydro's were fun to watch, the sound of those Merlin and Packards gave me goose bump's. I have been building scale boats for years, and I thought I would give this one a try. Are there many of these type out there.

yes in the seattle area there are two large clubs Classic Thunder and ERCU I am a bardahl guy also and have raced and build 4 different 67 Bardahls

That a realy nice model, I'm thinking about the U-40, Here is my Baby. I ordered the frame kit from James, It should be here in a week maybe. I'll be bending your ear as I go along.

Either two 2s or one 4s pack. I prefer 2 2s as it is easier to get them up in the nose. Aprox 5000 mah work well

You could get Turnigy from Hobbyking.com they are cheap and seem to work well especially for someone who is only sport running.

Jim I understand that the shaft from the motor to the prop, is all one piece, with no univeral. How do you connect the shaft to the motor. I have never seen that kind of connection. There is a connector that is made of solid rubber.
