do you run into issues with the mount above the gopro showing up in its frame? i only ask because you have the gopro so far back and the gopro's have a really wide viewing angle

I've pre-ordered the YUN-I and can't wait to see what its like. Just hope my contour HD will fit, otherwise I will have to replace it with a go pro

I used 2826 and 2830 cheap rctimer motors for small gopro gimbal,
with 0.15 wire, 20 OHm to keep it cool, around 50% PWM power used @ 12V (3S LiPo)

will try 5010 rctimer motors soon,

it takes some time till you 'get in the game' with rewinding,
but so far I did like 8-9 motors in last month,
and from long 3hrs for fist,
came down to about 25-30 mins for last one...

winding is done by this schematics

Any news on this? When are they shipping? I ordered on January 25, so I'm halfway the 30days. Did anybody who ordered earlier receive theirs?

Well then for your sake I hope you have to replace it with a gopro!!! I think the gopro is a much better camera but lets not go off topic.

I too have preordered and I think as someone that is stepping out on a limb it would not be unreasonable to give us more communication as to what stage the process is at rather than leaving us in the dark. If I had my time again I would have probably waited rather than preordered because there has been no communication and they can't even keep active in the thread they started. My fingers are crossed.

How about more videos as promised or are you hesitant to post videos because it hasn't finished R&D stage and you jumped the gun going into preproduction. If I was selling a new product I would be flooding the forums with product info and video's etc to show that it is legit

Man glad I read this tread , signed that petition right away, I was afraid o something like that might happen, gotta stick together fellows!

Both good cam's... I have not used the GoPro 3 yet, but on the GoPro 2 vs the Contour I had much less "jello-ing" due to vibration... I usually shoot with the Contour because of that...

That would be a fair reason. I was very close to buying the contour. I would suggest it would be difficult to centre the contour in this gimbal because of the length of the camera. The result all the same might be adequate and without trying it first you will never know. I can't imagine the tilt axis being as critical as the roll axis anyway especially if you are not close to a subject and with the wide angle lens these things have. One thing I did like about the contour was the ability to change the picture settings on it rather than just being able to change the format on the gopro. I just hope it doesn't take too much tuning. I've been eying off the hero 3 black today. Tempting but don't need it at this stage.
