Hi Piranha,
this looks good but could you post some video where we can see the gimbal in action? I mean in that video there is no wind, no movement of the copter, very boring job for such a great gimbal ...
This is the way I test my gimbal, and this is a traditional one with servo and no fancy external gimbal controller!

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the future of the gimbal is brushless and I would like to test them as soon they are available!

I know how about your gimbal tests cause I am your fan!
And yes sorry for the boring videos, It is just initial tests, but it is cold outside now And I don't like to sit outside with my laptop to make more tweaks! So anyway more test will come

Hi Piranha, very good, I'm your fan too
It's not very cold here at the moment, I would be happy to make some test just let me know how I can get a sample of your controller. I have prepared some BLDC motors already and I'm also able to make a simple gopro gimbal.

Guys, once again, Let me clarify the situation-The controller is not mine, It was developed by Aleksey Moskalenko aka AlexMos but not yet been released, you can contact him through http://www.simplebgc.com/eng/ or just wait for http://www.fpvmodel.com/ release! I' am just one of the first happy testers of Alex's controller on my DIY gimbal mechanics

I think the example gimbal looks quite similar to what I built a year or so ago...

vs.
http://fotoni.org/ilmasta/quad/kamerateline/

The biggest difference is integrated landing gear (which in turn look similar to what I use in my multis... http://fotoni.org/ilmasta/quad/quadcopter/ Not an original invention in any way, however.)

It's a pleasure to be an inspiration!

the Simple BGC will get data from any flying controller can provide data of 2 Axis to drive the Brushless motor

but can you also just connect a receiver for roll and tilt control? so you don't NEED a extra gimbal controller/flight data info right?

I think what they mean is...

ArtPiranha is using Alex current board right now which handle up to 2.5amps.

FPVmodels is saying they will have two different model of board available, small one for small camera and bigger amperage one for bigger motor/camera.

I know, didn't say you made it or anything. It just looks awfully similar!

That design is few years old and obsolete. It would need quite a few tweaks to make it worth sharing. Actually I have made a new better iteration with a lot more ways to adjust gimbal balance, but it's not finalized enough to be published, either. Nice idea, anyways!
