Ooh, HobbyKing released another quad, this time the canopy is even cooler.
Eagerly waiting for spares!

BangGood just got in HiSky FF120 spare canopies for $2.35!
Still nothing from Hobbyking and the QDOTs though :\

]Anyone find a source for spare sh 6044 canopies yet?

Have one of these coming and I'm sure I'll crack the canopy pretty fast...I like this style though so I'd like to be able to replace it

Nope.
And seeing that there is basically no spare parts of any kind, finding spare canopies doesn't seem very likely.

But, I don't think you will break the canopy very easily, unless you smack it against concrete or asphalt, and then you will break a few props and maybe motors as well. Try to fly over grass or something relatively soft and you should be fine.

On other news, lets hope Huawei doesn't skimp on the spare canopies, the new skyhawk looks amazing.

Maybe I missed it but I don't see the Nine Eagles Alien canopy listed here.
It's 2g and costs $7.90 at HeliPal
Tower has the same canopy in 1SQ colors.

Ya BG has spare parts for the 6043 which I think most if not all will fit the 6044, but no 6044 canopies.

Ya the new huawei canopies aren't to bad, and I like that hisky/hobby king canopy above...BG has the hisky version so I may order one or 2 to fiddle with...will definitely need a paint job. A lot of these canopy styles are getting recycled in other quads so hopefully something will come along with a clone of the 6044 canopy if BG or anywhere else isn't going to carry spares....maybe they will for whatever quad gets a clone of this canopy (if that happens).

Ooh, they have the propquards as well, nice! Gotta order some of those.
IIRC, the 6044 canopy has a different mounting way than others, could someone take some pictures ?

I don't have a pic, but it is 2 posts that come up off the FC... diagonally from each other...Like 1 in the bottom left corner, another in top right...or something like that...and the posts correspond to 2 holes/tubes coming from the inside of the canopy..so basically you just line up the poles/holes and push the canopy down...its a pressure fit I guess....actually seems more secure then I would have expected.

Ya tha prop guard rings are awesome, so between those and the aluminum booms you can make some pretty bullet proof frankenquads

...though I'm finding CF booms to be good on these micro quads...I hated them on mini quads like the MQX...snapped/splintered them right and left ;( ...and their tendency to flex, or have 1 stiff, and another kinda flexy seemed to affect flight characteristics a lot.

If Banggood or someone else carries replacement parts for the sh 6046 puffer then we may get easy access to aluminum booms for mini size quads, instead of having to hunt down appropriately sized aluminium square tubing to cut yourself (If you're into that kinda thing)

BangGood has spares for the Walkera QR W100. Sadly, the motor holders aren't sold as is, only with motors installed
It also seems like this would be a full frame like the Hubsan X4, and not a canopy as is.
Those 'Damping Balls' could be useful though.

Building your own W100 lookalike is quite pricy, as the chassis and 4 motors costs 35$.

A spare canopy for the DH 9128 UFO can be purchased from the manufacturer.

I also found them available from:

Since I noticed you had a category for DIY canopies, I thought I would share mine. None of my 7 quads have a stock or store bought canopy on them. They all have a variation of a DIY foam canopy weighing between 0.6 and 1.5 grams. The microquad canopy without lights weighs 0.6 grams and the mq canopy with 3 lights and tubes weighs 1.5 grams. A canopy on my V929 without lights weighs about 1.5 grams. The three color canopy is a great aid in visibility during the day and takes maybe an hour to make. Double that for one with lights.

Hi Gents,
I prefer the simple utility and light weight of open cell foam for mini and micro canopies:
--Foam canopies for Mini and Micro quads 101

Here is a thread with DIY paper canopies:
--Blade mQX/Mini Quad Paper Canopy's by HJMDally
I will also add this thread to the Mini and Micro and Nano Multicopter section of the Quadrocopter and Tricopter Info Mega Link Index
Cheers,
Jim
