I had too much spare time in my hands, so I present to you, The big list of small canopies.
Some of the different colours are listed as different products, some are variations, but they _should_ be correctly linked.

The forum post was a little cumbersome to maintain, and well, was really just a bunch of pictures. Main feature for now is sorting. Good layout comes later.

Well, sorry for mentioning it - if I click my link, it says 13.99$ plus 2.99 shipping (which - last time I checked - is 17$)
I am not sure if anybody can blame on me that the shipping to anywhere else than the lower 48 is more than the 2.99$ (and maybe the program adjusts this according to the IP location automatically ... what do I know??)

As far as the plain canopy goes, the 14$ actually IS a bargain, compared to trying and finding it somewhere else ... HENCE the name "valueRC" (and I admit, it is my favorite seller on ebay for helistuff, because if I order there, I usually get the stuff significantly cheaper than any other shop in the US (or the rest of the world for that matter)I can find that in ...

Also, I actually thought this was a list which wants to showcase the canopy choices people have for their quads, NOT "discriminate" based on price. In this hobby, you will always find the same stuff in many places, sometimes for VERY different prices - but that is neither my fault, nor did I expect it to be relevant for the purpose in question.
If you leave out canopies that exist, simply based on the price which some people may not agree with, then you are going to miss out on a whole bunch of them.

We are just biased by normally seeing $2 canopies for a $35 quads, not $15 canopies for an over $120 crafts.
If you buy it for a v929, it is half the price of the quad.
If you buy it for an MQX, then its more like 15%.

And as you said, price is not part of this, just looks.
Now weight is the bigger factor here, while a canopy lined with gold costing 1k would get here, if someone made it out of solid gold and sold it for half the price, if it can't fly, it isn't a canopy, it's a display piece.

Let me just add another piece to this thought:
If the 2$ canopies for the 35$ quads were NOT made in a country without real labor laws, child labor and hourly wages of 80cents for people who work 15h a day, it all would look VERY different (more like 20$ canopies for 200$ quads most of the time) and with all the joy about cheap RC pieces we should really not forget this completely or blissfully ignore it.

While that does have its share of it, mostly it is just that china gets profit by mass selling, while we in the 'west' get profit buy taking a huge cut. Best example is the Hubsan X4 versus the Traxxis QR-1. It's the exact same product, but Traxxis one costs twice as much. Same with the MQX, where do you think Blade manufactures it, and you think they pay even the $35 to the factory for it ? And hey, China is getting more expensive all the time, in ten years most of the stuff will say "Made in <insert some south African country here"> and chinese factories shut down like crazy.

In the end, I would group these by the mold, as most are just different paint jobs.
For example, 16 of the ones now here would go under the "round ladybird like canopy" in two sizes.
