% is easy to understand (like fractions) , when using voltage for differing cell counts one might have trouble remembering the numbers. Even with only one cell count some math MAY be required.

I meant I only care about per/cell voltage. I would definately have trouble making use of total voltage only. Now I see why people like %.

% capacity during charge can only be a rough estimate at best as it will be directly dependent on charge rate and internal resistance of cells. Packs with higher internal resistance will have a higher voltage than packs with lower internal resistance and will thus show higher charge %, even though actual charge % is identical. Consequently, this 'feature' would be marginally useful, IMO.

It appears your statement is only assuming parallel charging. You wouldn't have to worry about packs with varying internal resistance when charging a single pack.

Any displayed charge in % is calculated, not directly measured as a constant. This is true for single pack or with parallell charging, although the calculation is probably screwed up by parallell wiring (unless all packs are identical).
The charger can only see the voltages of the cell/pack and the IR of cell/pack at any given time, and based on these values an estimation is done in those chargers who has the "feature". Unfortunately IR (cell or pack) varies between manufacturers AND within the same pack depending on charge, so it is not an exact science to determine charge %.

It would probably be simple to implement the feature if he decide to do it but I suspect that Junsi prefer to not show a number that cannot be determined with enough accuracy to meet his standards.

No, the statement applies exclusively to single packs. It was meant to illustrate that % charge cannot be accurate due to physics involved. e.g. - charge state based on voltage is only reasonably accurate in static (no load) condition. Since charging is a loaded condition, % charge will be a rough estimate, much in the same way that voltage during discharge tells little about remaining capacity.

Look, folks, in many fields, like aviation, there are helpful trend instruments. Take the vsi for example. A trend can be very helpful.

It would be neat if the section of the display that shows individual cell voltage could scale its font size based on the number of cells. For 2S packs, for example, you could fit a lot more information on one screen. All that space for the extra cells that aren't connected is going to waste.

Is there a list of SD Cards that will work with this. I read through the thread and it seems that some are not compatable.
