Dynam de Havilland Tiger Moth

Here's the New Dynam Tiger Moth available at Nitroplanes.com. Dynam does it again with another great airplane. This plane has amazing power...like you need a Tiger Moth with awesome vertical...of course you do! If I had to choose between the Dynam Waco and this Tiger Moth for a first time biplane...my choice is the Tiger Moth! Awesome slow speed stability, gentle landings that are perdictable and nice aerobatics. Heck...this plane can hover with it's stock power. A keeper!

Flying photos by my awesome daugher Evelyn!

Regards,
Tony

Tony, Looks like a winner! The nitroplanes photos show that the decals have to be applied, is that correct? It sure would make it easier to do custom markings or refinish if that's the case!

Hmmm, new FunCub or new Tiger Moth?

Robin

PS - Tell your daugher great job on the flying photos! Not too many people can capture those!

Hey Robin,

Yes...decals have to be applied. Both the Fun Cub and theTiger Moth are good models.

Have fun,
Tony

Thanks Tony,

Yea, I've already had a FunCub (I loved it!) and was just about ready to order another, but I just saw this Tiger Moth and have wanted one for a long time!

Are there any modifications that you would recommend?

Tony,
If it fly's that well I'll probably just leave well enough alone. Well, I will add a pilot and probably have Callie Graphics make up a set of Dutch Navy markings (My father was in the Dutch Navy).
Thanks again!

Cool! I added two E-Flite WWII pilots with scarfs and they look great!

All the best,

Hi Tony,
Just received my Tiger Moth on the 22nd and completed it that night. I cannot wait to take it to the field for its maiden flight. Just a great looking plane. All reviews I have read say it will fly just as nice.

mjk111 - Nice build, best of luck on the maiden! I ordered one yesterday, hopefully it will arrive sometime this next week!

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could trouble someone for two measurements? I need to know how tall the fuselage is from the bottom of the fuselage to the cockpit sill at the back edge of the rear cockpit (A in the photo), and also how wide the top wing is - not spanwise but from leading to trailing edge or chord (B in the photo). I'd really appreciate it, I'm trying to get my graphics package drawn up to send to Callie Graphics, and I'd like to try to have them here when the plane arrives!

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Hey All - gromitvt10 posted these on the 'Post scale decals for download' thread. I'm sure they could be resized and printed for the Dynam Tiggy (they may require some trimming)! Thanks gromitvt10!

FedEx should have the plane here before I get home from work tomorrow!

Hi Robin, thanks. The maiden flight went great. The measurement you were looking for on the cockpit from the bottom of the fuse to the sil of the rear seat is 4 3/16". The wing width measuring from the top was 7 3/4" but that included the curve of the wing. I measured on the top wing, but the underside and got a 7 5/8" measurement. Hope this helps.

mjk111 - Congrats on the maiden! :-) So any surprises? If you get a chance post some Video and/or pics! Thank you for the measurements!

I did the math and came up with 1/7.04 (1/7th) scale if anyone cares to know!

I also back ordered a Flyzone Beaver in mid January and it's going to be here Thursday. The bench is going to get awful crowded!

Hey Guys, Came home to a big box today! Gonna tear into right after supper! Now I have to track down a couple of batteries!

Sent the artwork for the new decals to Calli Graphics yesterday, they should be on the way in a day or two!
