I just experienced dramatic climate change ... one day it was clear blue skies and 80 degrees, the next day it was overcast and in the 40's ...

Then you would have enjoyed flying at our local field today. Not a cloud in sight, slight breeze and a balmy 43C (109F). Tomorrow's going to be a bit warm though.

RI,

You must have missed the answer to that question some while ago..

A hosepipe is "The plastic pipe which is commonly used to water gardens".

A 'hosepipe ban' is you not being allowed to use it to water your garden, due to a water shortage, (mainly because it allows the use of many gallons of water to be used quickly).

You normally can, however water your garden with a watering can, as it takes much more effort to use the same amount of water you'd use with a hosepipe.

That help?

It's a hose. It's a pipe. It's both wrapped into one!

To turn off, rotate the faucetvalve until the waterliquid endstops.

It not the method that is the problem, but the amount that gets used.. hence we only have 'hosepipe bans' when there is a 'water shortage'...

(Please don't tell me that you didn't understand such things, logan5.. )
