MIT KID,
Yeah, weight won't be a problem. I just want it light so I don't have to go massive with the power and run a big a$$ prop on the back. I have enough scars on my right hand some small ones. ![]() Thanks Andy, But there sure isn't much to look at yet. STILL waiting for my tubes.I called and they think they have been delayed because of Xmas traffic. Don't want to go to far on the rear section until they get here and I can set them. Meanwhile, I've started skinning some. I put more formers in some spots later. Pics show the glue strips to make skinning easier. Once the skins are on I cut the bulkheads out, more interior of the "crutch" will be removed later. It's going to take awhile to skin this monster. J |

As far as color schemes Hans, is this what you mean?
And a couple of pics of my 1/10th scale pusher at SEFF 2008. Can't remember who photoshopped the pic. Pretty cool trick though. ![]() J |

Yep, Pinky has it right Ace. I use a lot of white Gorilla glue. I can glue a panel, tape it down and it has set up enough in less than an hour to remove the masking. It's great for this application. Also easy to slice off or dig out any excess prior to sanding. CA glue isn't so easy IMHO. I only use CA when I have to.
Pinky, I use a piece of plastic pipe to roll the foam against my belly to get the curl needed. GGRN taught me that trick quite a few years ago. But fanfold is 1/4" thick and just works splendidly in these type builds. Again, I think it is much easier to bend than depron, no heat or fancy things needed for it. Just a nice big belly. ![]() J |
