Turnigy RC/LED Lighting System -- alternative?
This Turnigy RC LIghting System has its strong points, like it provides an easy to deploy lighting layout for small to mid sized planes. It has a huge downside though, namely the LEDs just aren't that bright. They're OK close in, and you can get a decent glimpse of them here and there at just the right angle. These lights definitely don't have pop though.
I'm thinking of replacing the LEDs with better, brighter ones -- assuming they're wired cleanly, is there any reason why LED's with greater pop would cause the system to fail? What is the best, high visibility, high "pop" lighting system for small to medium planes in the same price category as the Turnigy kit? The Turnigy kit is super cheap, as in around $7-. So I'm looking, say, at $20ish dollars, up to say around $30- for a decent kit. Suggestions? Thanks! |

If you want to light up an aircraft at night, I would look at these systems...
