my new RC nitro car awd want to lift it

hey guys,
i got this today on a trade.
i want to lift it up as high as it will go, and put some off-road tires on it.
I'll keep you guys protested but I have never owned a nitro RC so this will be fun!
i was told it goes extremely fastbut I haven't even heard it run.
what do you guys think!?
questions?

Off road tires are not going to work so hot on an on-road car. I might have wanted to hear it run before I did any trading. Nitro can be a bit of a pain for a new guy/gal. There is a bit of a learning curve. If you have a manual read it cover to cover. Especially on the engine tuning part. I would go out an buy a new glow plug fuel tubing and clean and re-oil the air cleaner before I got to far into it.

good luck

sorry it took so long to post back, i wrote a bunch the other day and it didnt post so i gave up.
i am a guy, but small engines are my thing because im a motorcycle mechanic so I will have no problem tuning it in once I get a glow plug and fuel.
the tires are about 50-65mm and im going to 87mm buggy tires and 130mm monster truck tires so I will definitely need to change the gearing or this thing ain't going anywhere.
it doesnt have an air filter but those are only 3 bucks, and it needs a new battery casing because the one on it doesn't get any power to it.
i also found a cool new body for $16 New.
besides all that fun stuff I will be on the road soon.
for some reason im not able to get the ground clearance any higher by messing with the suspension.

Even if you get bigger tires on there, it won't have lots of suspension travel and the tires (fronts especially) will likely rub on something.

You would be MUCH happier with how a proper off road vehicle handles compared to a touring car with big tires.

honestly i would have bought one but i have no cash which is why i traded it for a compound miter saw that I didn't need. he was the only person that would trade out of the like 20 people selling theirs.
i got it running today, its a two speed with bake.
when I give it full throttle the tires spin like there is no tomorrow!!!
it is super fast!
the next thing I will do is get the tires but they will take 15-25 days to get here.
i also have spare gears and clutch bell that is to gear it down for the tires.

how can I tell the size of the motor?
I'll put more pictures up soon.

sweet! i bought all the parts for it, its got a new air filter, glow plug, body, tires(same size), and a few other misc things on their way.
today I cleaned the carb and cylinder now it starts 5 times easier!
for some reason it eats gas down like there is no tomorrow.
i don't think I even get a minute on a full tank? it seems to only suck it down when the throttle is at full blast though.
this car is SUPER FAST! and REALLY low to the ground!
how much do you think its worth?

You should be getting at least 6-10 minutes out of a tank, I would check to see if you have any leaks in the tank itself.

okay after i timed it it turned out to be around 10 minutes. i guess time flys when your having fun.
another thing i noticed was that the idle screw doesnt stay put so i have to adjust it at least once every run so
should i put a little thread lock or what?

Is there a spring on the screw? You can try stretching the spring so it's under a bit more tension, but if that doesn't work try a tiny bit of thread lock.

I would do some looking on Ebay on the completed items it will give you a good idea what they are going for.

i should have thought about the stretching of the spring but yea that should work. most of the springs I work with are industrial and can't be stretched because they are usually 1/4" hardened steel coils.

i think its worth around $150? what do you think?
its so dang fast!!!
