Flyzone Calypso Battery & Charger Issue

I recently got a Flyzone Calypso RTF and had some issues with the battery and charger from the get go. I bought a checker balancer and a spare battery with the plane just incase. Anyways I put the plane together and checked the batteries when I first got it and each has roughly 45-50% overall and 3.85-3.9 volts in each cell. Given my eagerness to fly I took the one that came with the plane out for a fly. The flight didn't go as planned and I ended up getting it stuck in a tree, but got it out the same day.

So I get home and want to charge the battery and I notice the plane only came with a car adapter not a wall adapter. I had a wall adapter laying around from some other electronic device so I figured that would suffice. Meanwhile the battery I used that day is showing error on the checker. I plug the charger and get the green standby light, then the battery and automatically two flashing lights which means error. I try to use the car adapter that came with it and same thing. I even bought a adapter to convert the car adapter to a wall mount and same thing.

So I have to spare battery that has been untouched, I try to charge it with all three methods and get the same thing. I don't know if I did anything or if it was screwed from the beginning. Have any of you had similar issues with lipos

You need to know the voltage of the pack you are trying to charge.
If it is much less than 3.0V you killed it and the charger knows it.

Get a real charger, not one with only lights, one with a screen and able to set voltages and amps.

As woodcrafter said you need to replace the charger that came with the plane.

I recommend the FMA CellPro Multi4 form Progressive RC:

You can power it from an automobile battery (12V) or a DC power supply.
You can find a good power supply here:

Additionally you need to learn about the care and feeding of Lithium Polymer (Li-Poly or LiPo) batteries. Here is an excellent source of information:

Last we can make better recommendations for sources if we know which country you are in.

The voltage on the battery are 3.71 for each cell at the moment.

Sounds like you have (yet another) faulty electrifly charger. I've sent a number of these out to replace "bad" ones.
