I tried that spektrum servo, as well as the Hitec HS75, JR RT88 and Futaba 136G, only the JR791 was able to pull up the wheels reliably every time. With the other ones you'd have to put the plane into an inverted stall, cut the power, flip the switch while plane is inverted, then the wheels will retract.
This is the same also for my H&M FW-190 and Spitfire. 3 years of weekend flying and hasn't failed me yet. Who says mechanical retracts are not reliable? |
