Jerome, she no longer exists. The aluminum hull was scrapped after she was refloated from that resting spot. Rich can tell you more since he has visited the spot in St Coix.

Kyle, the photo with the rainbow was after she was refloated. When she was beached you could find her on Google Earth. If you go to the Salt River Bay now and go back to the historical image from 2002 you can see her still there.

Hi captains,

The Dauntless is no longer there. The spot that Miller time posted is exactly where she sat at the Salt River. This was also the spot where the Video took place when one of the final owners bought her.

Once she was bought she was re floated after a couple weeks of being stuck in the mud. Then, when she floated on her own she was brought to the Salt River Marina where she stayed for a short time. This could be seen where she is docked next to the palm tree. I will be staying near the Salt River at the end of the month so I will take some detailed pictures where she once stood.

The picture of her at anchor with the rainbow took place on the other side of the island where she was at anchor before she was pulled on land.

Hi captains,

Here is an update on my yacht. For the last few days I have been working on getting the lights to work. I set up switches to control each section of the yacht which controls multiple lights. Today, for the first time I was able to get them to work and have a look inside. For me this has been very long awaited.

There is a control panel aft so that I can easily get to the light switches through the floorboard.

Some notes:

Earlier today the searchlight worked but I found that it was 3V wheareas it was on a 6V line with the navi lights..oops..It is no worries though, the yacht is completely serviceable to I will either change it out for a 6V bulb or get a 6V searchlight and hook it up.

On the helm there was light coming through there and reflecting off the ceiling. I have an instrument panel that will be installed and will light up along with the navigation lights.

The salon (main cabin) has 2 sets of lights. There are a pair in the ceiling and 4 sconces on the wall. Those lights are on two separate switches so I can use the ceiling lights, wall sconces or both. The wall sconces, as odd as they look are very close to what was on the full sized yacht.

BTW..sorry for the dirty windows...she is still under construction..

The color combination of my interior was what you would have found on the full sized vessel.

Here are those pictures.

Lighting looks great, Rich.

Not sure I agree about the pic with the rainbow. Notice the scum on the bow which agrees with the way she sat bow down when she was on the hard.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. The rainbow picture took place after she was re floated and before she was pulled onto the owners property and dismantled.

It was a chain of events.

-She was floated
-Briefly docked at the Salt River Marina (likely for the day only)
-Pulled around the island to the owners property (they used too small of a boat and had a very rough time pulling Dauntless)
-Put her at anchor for a bit as seen in the rainbow photo
-Pulled her to the owners private beach and began removing her cabins (on the beach)
-Finally she was 'on the hard' at the owners place

I hope this explains the events better.

Glad you saw it my way, Bud!

Looks like we won't get a sail in to soon with these temps. Maybe we'll have to do lunch with shore sailing (BSing) and a visit to the LHS.

Happy New Year to you and all toy, er I meant scale, boat captains.
