I was @my bud's last night and flew his V911's around (mine is tired) and had a great ole time with it once again!
WL Toys is rightly famous for "Bang for the Buck" For this Spring and for "casual flyers" I'll be looking to replace my tired/old V929 with a V949/V959? and probably one of the clone micro quads.. V202 or maybe a RC1E.

FINALLY some funnel footage and some fast flyby passes.... if this doesn't make you want to own one , I don't know what will The fog was rolling in and high moisture was keeping the performance around 80 percent capable .... Enjoy mini quad fans!

Lol, I wish, I think it was cheap knockoff chinese unigoat powder. Still working on those coordinated banked turns, can't get it smooth yet and can only pull off about 180deg before I lose the turn, and forget switching directions for a figure eight, lol. Practice practice practice....

And have a look at the Vitality H36 too, fast and stable. 9x compatible.

I'll put in a thumbs up for the H36 as well.

I actually like the shape and looks of the scorpion canopy, but not the black color, I like brighter colors for my old tired eyes. But when I tested it without the scorpion canopy, It flew much better than with it. So like most of my other helis, I made my own canopy with brighter colors, and less weight. I still have not been able to take it outside in a large area to fly because of wind, I have had it less than a week, and the largest area I have been able to fly it in was probably a 20 cubic ft area.
I had been thinking about MOs suggestion to make the gimbal sticks longer, so last nite I found a crimp wire connector that would fit over the tubes on the tx with inside diameter that was right for the gimbal tube that fit into the the tube on the tx. Sawed it off where it added about 1/8 inch to the length of the gimbals. One was secure with just a press fit, the other I had to use a little weatherstrip adhesive. If I don't like it, I can put it back to stock, or cut another and make it longer

Ya I did notice that tree rat...picking on those guys when it's warm is a blast, birds too. I can remember all the way back to last summer flying during dusk up in the park at the end of my street...my 911's would get seriously checked out by big dragonflies and bats...

Any chance that MO or someone else who's currently got an 808 cam (or any other cam for that matter) could post up some pics and discuss their setup for aerial video?
