How did you hook up the DoS CH to Servos. I'm still building my Ritewing Zephyr 2.

yes that was on crappy X5... I added in some mechanical differential Elevon and it helps with the adverse yaw but the plane is still crap.

Sorry not sure what you are asking about the servos.

I connected everything as per manual and even used the throttle control which worked quite well. However, I am not sure I will keep using the throttle control in the future.

No video sorry... onboard video from a X5 is painfull to watch

Anyway it was blowing a freakin gale out there and DOS handled it like a champ.

A word of warning the very first GPS lock set an inaccurate home position which is to be expected when you move the gps a long way then re-boot (as in from china to canada)

So let the gps get a fix, then unplug and re-plug in for the best home position.

All settings were default in the dos program for gains.

LOL. No probs, glad to hear it was a success.

As for the GPS, I already used the software to reset the GPS (no more purple LED) as per the manual.

I will work out the wiring soon.

Mine in the Zephyr 2.
why do you don't want to use the throttle in the wing?

Hello,
installed the DoS and wanted to try some adjustments. But the usb would not connect when all the wiring was hooked up. Did I miss something or do I have to pull all the plugs out to use the setup software. Works fine with just bare unit.

only when you update the firmware you have to disconnect all the cables
when using the software to tweak the settings you don't have to

are you using the right com port?

Hello Wippo76,
I am using the uart underneath the gps, the black to ground. Works when i disconnected everything.
With everything plugged in (no battery connected) the Dos and Bec lights go on, but does not seem to want to connect. Will keep trying.
