Thanx Evo!! I had a couple different schemes in mind and chose this one. Will do one of the others on next one.

hopefully there's enough contrast colour in there to make it flyable. black is notoriously difficult for orientation.

I know Evo that's why I put all the gold on Ails top . Like I've said before,and is obvious from this build,....I'm not afraid to modify! If she's hard to see....I just hook her up w/some more color,a slash here,an outline there... I can mix my schemes to add accent colors where needed for just that reason.

Needed more than fingers crossed smiley!!! Weather wasn't perfect,,,coulda used a little more headwind. Tried first time to get her in air....no go ! AND she broke part of left Elev and lower left front airscoop. Fixed Elev w/ some CA w/kicker, moved batts as far back from nose as poss. 2nd attempt.....same result but 60 ft farther. More damage this time. All repairable. Sorry no vid, but our helper wasn't real attentive...only caught me walking to downed plane. Also crashed Meteor !!! Crashed it good too. ESC HAD to have overheated. Loss everything, then had , then lost , then Meteor SHOWER!! I don't think I can repair it this time. Will order new body and rebuild. AND will put in the sperate BEC. Had great day with Meteor until it died. Several nice flights with a real nice landing too. BACK TO THE BENCH!!! Gotta work out the CG on Ronin.

what setup are you running in the meteor? pack size and C rating. ESC, EDF, etc, etc?

The Meteor set up. 70mm edf, 3000kv brushless outrunner, 60a ESC running off of a 14.8V 2600mah 4S 25C. Same as the Bandit. Same result...HHHHMMMMMmmmmmm.(although Bandit was 1 full flight and Meteor has had 7.

there's your problem right there. that 25C pack isn't enough to do the job. you need 45C packs minimum. your pack is only capable of delivering 65 amps and your system is drawing too much, therefore hitting LVC prematurely. for the math, your pack is capable of 2.6 (2600) X 25 = 65 Amps. if you switch to a 45C pack, you get 2.6 X 45 = 117 Amps. that'll deliver the power over a longer period at a drop off of almost zero. something to consider before you make the same mistake again. I fly 45C minimum these days, but mostly 60C and 65C packs.

I hear ya Evo. I've been talking to the field instructor and he suggested larger C packs. I also have to add an external BEC. My bad on that...I have one ,but since she's been flying fine I didn't put it in. DUMB ! I will have to stop shopping for packs off the bottom shelf. LOL Thanx for the input Evo ...always appreciated.
