Thanks for the info! I tried to contact them again to add the motor, we'll see if they can before it ships, otherwise, i'll find something that works.

That should work OK, though it's pretty expensive at $65. Also the KV is a bit low at 1240.

Ken (Motrolfly) will do custom winds too. I think the motors are well worth the money.

If you have a choice, I'd go for 1500 to 1600 KV. That sort of KV works very nicely with an APC 8x6.

I agree with D66 on the kv. 1500-1600 would seem about perfect. Unfortunately, no one that I'm aware of makes a suitable motor in that range (custom winds aside).

I have used Motrolfly motors and they are nice quality. The DM 2810 should work nice on 4s and an 8 x 6 prop.

I'm really happy with the microdan 2510-1300 sporting a MAS 8x6 3 blade on 3S and 4S. weighs 58 grams. He offers a 1600 kv on the same frame, you would need to contact him to see if it would work. his motors are conservatively spec-ed, they will usually go much farther! Dan is a great guy, he will fix them for free if you crash, just send return postage along with your broken motor. I have also burned up a few pushing to 800 watts and Dan was nice enough to rewind...

IMHO they are the Ferrari of RC motors and come with the best guarantee
not to be had for chinese prices though!

Microdan is another great motor.

Is that a non-electric 3 blade prop?

I do have some micro dan motors, good motors. Also have an ammo that is this KV range, but just wanted to go with what I know works, so ordered the full set-up. Its gonna be a fun plane!

It's a Master Airscrew prop.

My understanding is that they can be used for either IC or electric but Ive only used them for the latter.

agree ! i actually have this one on test for my new XL gopro built : 370w 35 amp with 3s... will fly like a rocket ...
