I really like developing things and pushing what is possible. Helicopters are pretty well developed at this point. While with multi rotors I see a huge potential in future development.

I can see a challenge tuning something like this. Are you using your own FC?

Yes, we have the TG2 that we have been working on for a while. It will work with helicopters and multirotors of this kind.

That's just too cool, congrats....

I'm really excited about a new 3D capable quad that seems to be easy for me to stay oriented.

Can't wait to see some piro flips with it!!!

You can do 1/2 piro flip with a quad now LOL. I have some chessy videos of us doing em.

Dont want to derail the topic but heres 1/2 a piro.

Agreed. One thing i've always said "Grossly over powered is almost enough, and cheap components wont get you there."

Im glad to see CY is involved in this, I now know this wont be lacking quality now.
Im looking forward to the outcome of this project. Sign me up Curtis, Im ready to strap on my GoPro 3 and film some TicTocs!!!

I went up to the flight line at IRCHA this past year with my "Beast" quad, and got some funny looks, like I was gunna just hover on the center stage. Then I punched 1.5kw straight up. At that point the funny looks went to looking funny. next year aught to be interesting.

Also, pleaaasseee please release this as a kit or perhaps make an ARF package once you've got everything dialed in and ready to go. You need to get this thing to the masses somehow, if you can do that then the popularity of CP multi-rotors will skyrocket for sure. I'm getting tired of seeing project after project get abandoned, none of these have gotten as far as you have.

Guys,

I am looking for some advice on vibration isolating the Gopro camera on the machine. The video I have done from the machine looks good, but I get the often mentioned video shake and water affect. I have read about many different solutions. I need as small and light of a mount as possible to allow for filming while getting more aggressive with the machine.

Any suggestions?

Well, I'm pretty anxious to see more of this one!

I have wanted to design, and build my own variable pitch quad for some time now, and I've been keeping tabs on some of the previously developed VPs out there already (although most of which haven't been more than a brief video here, and there, and then seemingly abandoned). But it is good to hear that there may be one commercially available soon!

There are also a few other new, and unique multi-rotor designs that have started to surface in the recent past! For instance, the V-tail Tri/Quad hybrids (check mine out), and the 4 motor/4 servo (4X4) set-up by our friend yasuo840, and others.

I'm curious to see how incorporating some, or all of these newer ideas into one super-multi could turn out!

I envision a V-tailed, variable pitch, thrust vectoring thing of beauty...
