Thank's Tom. I'm retired but the wife is not so I have plenty of time with not much better to do.
The bottom wing is done. The control surfaces are left to do. But they will have to wait. Got to let this air out before the wife gets home.

I'm retired, too, but I don't have your kind of intestinal fortitude.

I've done what you are doing. I can't stay with it for more than a few hours a day.

It's a pretty neat deal when we can send our wives off to work in the morning, leaving us to our own devices during the day. LOL

Absolutely Tom. She sent me off to work for years, a little pay back now. And after five years of being here I can't figure out why it was so hard for her. I love it!

You guys are killing me!

I was relying on Wall Street to fund my pension. Who knew it would turn out on depending on "hitting the numbers" at the 7-11 up the street.

Bernie Madoff is making my retirement less than I had hoped....I hope they discover a way to keep him alive all 435 years.
I'd leave my estate to fund it......

Anyhoo-I retired to have time to do the things that make me happy. It worked !

It did not air out enough. At least not by the amount of @#*#ing the wife did. I hope the cold does not have an affect on the covering. It will be late before I can bring it in.

As for retirement funds mine were not/ are not dependent apon anything other than myself. And yes the lottery would definately enhance my way of life. Greatly!!

I have spent a little time this morning going over things making a new "To-Do" list. And I am far from being done. I still have to build the cockpit and figure out exactly how I'm going to do the opening canopy. I have the rails made but still have everything else to make for the canopy. And still have to decide how and what I will cover the gear with, keep going back and forth over fabric or aluminum. And way back in the deep recesses of my twisted mind there is this nagging desire to put the opening panels on the cowl.
So still plenty to do.

The flight control surfaces are done. Those parts took quite a bit of time, most of the day. Now to the cockpit.

Next thing you know we'll have flight video (next week)

Looks good, the stitches are quite evident now.

All your covering looks very nice. I have a "standard" now to compare to. Some day I'll get my Goldberg Pitts S12 done so I can get to covering. It seems a rebuild takes 10 times longer than a fresh build.

Thank's guy's. I'm really trying to improve my build abilities.
I have begun to install the tubing and fabricate the seat and headrest. Once it is all complete I will remove everything and tighten up the tubing joints. I think with some 1/8" padding, some fake leather and thread, the seat and headrest will come out ok.

Seat looks nice. Padded? Real pilots don't need padded seats, that's what chutes are for.

If you are small enough to fit in this fuse, you need padding, LOL
