I love flying in our church but I need alot more practice to get like alot you I have only flown for about 6 months now. LOVE IT so addicting thats probably why I also fly PA's Addiction and Addiction X

My new favourite Just got back from indoor flying where another one showed up as well. I have to say I prefer this to the Original Crack Yak and the Lite for indoor flying at least. Great little model.
My setup is the DualSky DualSky XM2212RTR-25 motor/ESC, GWS 7" x 3.5" prop, Hyperion 2s 180 lipo and the Gening nano digital servos from here http://www.electricwingman.com/servo...kyak-mini.aspx

Another Crack Yak Mini or another motor, or both maybe?

I have to say, the DualSky motor could have been made for this model, great power for 15gms combined with the ESC and it suits the airframe very well.

Can't wait for the next indoor session now

I cant justify the price for that. Sorry maybe its just me. I have a motor thats about 3grams heavier and its gots lots of grunt for £10. Ok I spent another £7 or £8 on an esc but it still works out less than half the price
of the dualsky.

Can't deny it is pricey, but it is very well matched to the airframe and it has loads of power. Its a sweet little motor and don't forget it's 15 gms including the ESC.
We tried a Hyperion 2s 250 pack to see the difference between the 180 pack, its only about 4gms different, but you can tell flying it.
The thing on a model this size and weight, for example, 8gms extra is 10% of the model weight and hence 10% heavier wing loading.

What are people's preferred battery sizes?

I like how if flies on a 300 mAh pack and that gives me a good 5 minutes of flight time. I've got a couple of 180 mAh packs, but I hardly ever use them.

I run Nano 260's and get about 6 min. Flight time.

Hyperion 180's and Nanotech 180's, I like it light.

Agree with Mike 100%. Lighter wing loading, particularly on the Mini, provides for much softer flight characteristics, when desired, while still maintaining snappy control response.

I guess I could order some 180's and save another 3g. Right now my AUW is about
3 oz.
