A few observations:

The video shows the tail skid being mounted on the bottom of the glued on vertical fin/rudder. The written instructions shows it being mounted to the bottom of the fuselage. I mounted mine as per the video. I don't think it makes any difference either way, however, but sets of instructions should agree.

The horizontal fuselage has holes for the landing gear. These two holes are not the same distance from the front of the plane, one is slightly farther back. Both the video and the written instructions show assemble the correct way. It might be a good idea to warn builders to not install differently.

I did not rush to finish as it was very gusty here today so even if it was complete I would not have attempted a maiden. I want a calm day to trim it out.

Just a few more things on the mini and it's done. Attach the rudder, install tail pushrods, and clean up the electronics, of course the lg as well.

So how do you like it lugz?

Thanks Grav, but I got the idea from one of the guys here on rcgroups. He did something similar for 45 degree cuts. Figured Iíd use the same idea since I canít seem to cut 90s in my foam.

Me, too.

It's nice to be able to wiggle the rudder w/o moving the tail skid.

(If it were a tail wheel, I might go the other way.....)

Sorry I missed a couple pages guys.

Top of fin lining up: You need to glue from the outside in when putting on the fin. Line up the bottom and roll on the bottom piece without doing the top half. Then lineup the top and roll it on toward the joiner. EPP shrinks, bends and expands depending on temp, humidity etc. It is easy to stretch or move it back into place.

Prop O-Rings: If you use the thin O-rings that come with the motor and kit you will need two of them. If you use a thicker O-ring you need to be careful that it is not so thick that it rubs on the stators inside the motor. The medium sized - Twisted O-Ring will work but you have to make sure it is not rubbing on the internal motor parts before you fly it. Two of the thinner bands wors well though.

LOL

I had to call wifey over to watch that a second time, so we could share the hoot.

The dog gets an Oscar, too!

The dog is used to the way I fly. Notice how he hides behind me. Next time I promise to dial in more expo, edit and maybe clean my bedroom and make my bed.

Well, add more expo...

That was great! I see a new trend of bedroom hovering videos...lol.

Smart dog you got there going for cover behind you. If it was me the dog would have left the house.

Full throw with 75% expo is PERFECT!

Mini CRACK YAK in the bedroom (1 min 16 sec)

I'm having fun with this thing. The 75% expo is perfect with full rates.

Hope you don't mind.....I entered your vid in an RCG hover contest........

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=1859

(They'll probably disqualify the entry, because they're a very legalistic and technicality-oriented gang. They'll likely make up some absurd rationale, like you didn't use the correct aircraft.)

Sweet that's what we want to see this thing doing

That 75% expo made all the difference in the second video. What did you have it set on in the first? Love the dog, clever little chap and wishing I had a room that size, it's about the size of my whole house
