Hello Brandon,

I've seen a few of your sound-system video's.
Do you also have experience with the model sounds inc.?
I am wondering, which sound system would you rate higer, as far as sound quality concerns?

Regards,
Dave

Yes I do, but I'm still waiting for Mr RCSounds V4 module to arrive to compare it. Right now IMO the Shock Wave sound module (Real sound) is the best as far as quality of the sound, but it's also a close call between them and the TBS (Benedini) system.

As for putting a rating on them...I would rate the Shock Wave just a tad higher.

I have ordered the V4 too and i'm eagerly againting. But to be honest, I never investigated the benedini en models sounds.

By accident Andrew sent me a V3 set (which I will sent back). I did a quick test this afternoon. I felt the startup was very nice, but I noticed the sound became much thinner >50% throttle (double wasp).
Do you recognize this?

Are you talking about the "shock wave" unit sounding thinner? >50% throttle? -or- Andrew's Mr Model sounds unit sounding thinner >50% throttle?

Hmm... ok, so at least its not just me.
Does that effect not exist on the benedini and/or model sounds?

Not as much so, but their >50% throttle sounds are not as clean and as "deep throaty" sounding, and at the right RPM, as I would like to hear them either.

There are more steps in the graduation to full throttle with the "Shock Wave" unit that there is on the "benedini" so it's a little more smoother and even in the throttle up sound. but the sound quality on both is pretty good

Ok. Andy's V4 is also supposed to have more steps, so maybe it will improve with V4.

guess i'll wait to find out how v4 will do.

Btw, how do you power the modules? Seperate lipo of flightlipo? I have no experience with this, but i am reluctant to make my (1400mm fms) models heavier then they are (i am using 5s 4000mah and 5055 motor).

I have them set up for both way, But mostly use a seperate 1800 mah 3s lipo, except for Andrew's Systems....on those I use the flight pack
