The Holiday season is in full swing! For many old modlers, this means the quiet household is soon to be invaded by enerjetic grandkids. Many times, the weather is so bad that they are trapped indoors for days. Not a good combo.

Here`s a little nerf glider that may provide some relief, by giving them something to do. Maybe even do some competition to keep them busy. Distance, spot landing, ect.

PS, you should make a few for the adults too.

These are very sensitive to cg. One piece of tape will take it from tailheavyor noseheavy, to just right.

Get the CG set without reflex, so that it flys without balloning up or tucking under real hard. It should just go down with maybe a slight tuck under. Then bend in some reflex to keep the nose up.

When it`s trimmed, it will stay there pretty well.

Of course felt tipped markers can be used to decorate or add names.

I am wondering if the leading edge curl was on the bottom, if the glide would be better? In the picture there is a slight upward lip on the top of the wing. I have done a few projects like this and always found it best to put any curl on the edge downward. Thanks for sharing.

The LE curl is on the bottom. It flies with the vertical fin on the bottom.

The fin also acts as a handle for launching.

It has to be launched upside down? Who would have known or guessed that?

Probably should have a this side up marking for us experts to get it right...

Now cut a second pieced of foam and add a KF step to it. I'd dry a 50% step location first and put it on the "this side up" side. It will give a more gentle stall maybe even a longer and more stable glide.

Has anyone put a motor on one yet?
