How are those 2900's holding up?

I've had a lot of flights with this one now. And the 1811 2900 is holding up very well. None of them have failed so far.

And I am only flying this one on 2200 mAh 3S batteries.

Can you link the props you're using?

Good since I just built one myself. :-)

Are you running with any height dampening and how does it fly in a bit of wind?

I might have to give those props a try, the 4x2.5's from HK have busted from a good tap.

Wow, great video, awesome DeathStar trench run though the trees!, great flying skillz, and a great stable FPV Octo build!

Now an Octo mini looks like a nice viable platform for my upcoming FPV build, as I too prefer smaller multirotors for portability.

How did you flash the HK 6A? I made a rig to flash my HK 10A... util said flashes were OK... but it didn't take, as I still can't adjust Pgain much above stock 28 range. Tell me your secrets!

I love my 2750kv SK3s, but the weight savings of 1811s is tempting. (I tried the epoxy wire reinforce with my 4x 1811s... 1 motor tipped-over and the epoxy ran into the bell seizing it!) *sigh*
(have read that next larger series SK3 shaft is longer for prop adapter usage, and is a direct drop-in fit)

I'm having a little trouble with my build. I'm starting to belive the props are just so unbalanced that it's giving the KK2 fits. I'm going to try balancing the props tonight to see if that makes much of a difference. Should be interesting balancing 5" props.

Is there any news about this little devil?

M2M 280 mm (a little bigger than Eirik's, so no prop overlap)
TGY 1811 2900 KV motors
4"x4.5" Props
HK 6A ESC with SimonK
KK2 FC
3S Battery, nanotech 3Ah (plans show 2.2Ah/1.3Ah - I think 3Ah is better)
AUW: 570g (future "light" FPV equipment adds approx. 66g)

Thank you so much Eirik for a great idea, I very much enjoyed building this (opptenningsved frå Biltema er eit fantastisk byggemateriale! ).

When I have time I hope to make a build log (if anyone are interested). Anyway I enclose some photos, a PDF file of the plan and a video. Sorry, the plan is in Norwegian - I hope you non-Norwegians understand anyway.
