Nothing fancy on this one. Standard fan arrangement and efflux tube. Sorry, no turkey feathers, just a straight forward design with HUGE POWER!!

Wow, nice Lee!

I am curious what fan, cell count, and motor kV are you planning to get 3-4kW?

Thanks Kevin. On the power system, it`s something that I put together earlier this year, just haven`t had the airframe to fly it. Here`s a link http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1692338

The basic fuselage is finished, still need to make the hatch/canopy. As it sits, it weighs 6.5oz, which I`m happy with. If I can keep the airframe weight including the radio down around 16oz, I`ll be on target.

Thanks Gary. It`s a pretty simple fuselage, but it was a lot of gluing and sanding. I made a big mess for sure.

the nose looks like a good shape for high speed. not too pointy.

Lee Thats One amazing "Missile with an EDF in it" Lol and if she flies as fast as you build then I bet she'll do 250 plus!

As for me I must say finding this thread has brought my 200Mph+ design back to life!, I drew up the plans today and will start construction tomorrow, other than that all the info will be "Top-secret" for now but all I will say is I wanna achieve a thrust to weight of 3-to-1 or maybe even 4-to-1, and most likely use a metalic edf of some untold make, Plus I bought an Art tech Jaguar to practice High speed Flight on, had two Habu jets But Sold them Last year . . .not a smart move.

Lee here are a couple of fast airfoils one is for a wing and the other is F3S plank, you'll be going fast enough it won't matter!
I wouldn't think you're using a KF foil for 200 plus

Is the second image an airfoil or a performance chart?

Never mind, I couldn`t see the airfoil outline on my phone. #2 looks pretty slick to me.

Demon-15 is born!

After a year of Thought & Design I have chosen an Old but FAST design as the Nucleus for what I hope to be one of the Fastest electric Jets ever made The Demon-15, I started construction today and hope to have these two birds completed soon, and setting some speed records, or at-least outrun a jaguar Lol . . .I can only hope she can follow in her Mothers footsteps lol

I will do a post build thread after the two 15's are complete.

"Quoted from AeroApex" '70mm class EDF Speed Cup Challenge'
'70mm class EDF Speed Cup Challenge'
A speed competition with no airframe restrictions

Rule #1: Anything goes in an attempt to make your EDF Jet go 200 mph.
Modified stock airframe or one design scratch built airframe, refer to rule #1
Landing gear or belly slider, refer to rule #1
"If you guys want to ad twins possibly as another class to the 70mm then lets do it"

Yes the Demon-15 will be a twin and I will build one as a single "the Demon-15-single", which will be 20% shorter in order to save weight.

Rich my Goal is to build an EDF jet that will travel through the air as quickly as possible!

no restrictions, except it has to be a single. jeez, you need to read. LOL.

I think there should be a twin class too. I mean, the original premise was "unlimited", but since the entry is limited, then there should be two seperate classe perhaps.............one for singles and another for multi.
