Crusader F8U Ducted Fan
Has any body ever offered this above model in foamy a ducted fan version?

No. JD Enterprise models use to make a 5 inch fan composite model, but they are out of business. If you post this in the foamy EDF forum....maybe those guys know about a foamy kit.

I made one enlarged from the 1950's Berkeley kit. Quite large for a Minifan. ARC 28-48-1, 3s 3700, 650W

Thanks for the replys guys. Looks like the supply dried up. Last I could find a shop in Texas had a few left but are now listed out of stock.

Did your Berkeley plans come with a sheet for the wings? I found the fuselage page on this website: http://www.outerzone.co.uk/search/index.asp But it has nothing about the wing rib shape. |

I've been collecting any Crusader plans I come across. Gonna build off of the #1 plan below.
A lot more scale than the Berkley plans How was it a difficult build Fuzz? Doesn't seem like it would any more trouble than an F-100 with ducting to allow for nose retract. And did you angle the fan and thrust tube as shown in the Berkley drawing? It looks to be on the wing center line. |

Be carefull with that Crusader plan from Vought. A quick check shows the top and side views don't match up in length. No telling how the sections scale out in relation to the top and side views. Steve |
