How about an A-7?

Hobby Lobby used to sell this one. Not sure if it's available thru them anymore.

No. JD Enterprise models use to make a 5 inch fan composite model, but they are out of business. If you post this in the foamy EDF forum....maybe those guys know about a foamy kit.

I made one enlarged from the 1950's Berkeley kit. Quite large for a Minifan. ARC 28-48-1, 3s 3700, 650W

Fuzz,

Did your Berkeley plans come with a sheet for the wings? I found the fuselage page on this website:

http://www.outerzone.co.uk/search/index.asp

But it has nothing about the wing rib shape.

Yes, it had the wing plan on it. but does not include the wing ribs. I got the plans from Larry Wolfe at JHH. He enlarged them for me. I started with the rib blank on the side view, made a tip rib, and sanded square blanks to shape. It has a glass intake 36" long. And a very sharp intake lip. But you see how it goes on only 650W power. Sam Brauer(Megowcoupe-RCG) now owns it and a seperate intake duct. PM him, maybe he will sell the ducting. Not an easy build. You have to build around the duct.

It would have been even better if I used a lower Kv and higher cell count, lower Mah cells. I could have got higher watts and lower AUW.

I've been collecting any Crusader plans I come across. Gonna build off of the #1 plan below.
A lot more scale than the Berkley plans

How was it a difficult build Fuzz?
Doesn't seem like it would any more trouble than an F-100 with ducting to allow for nose retract.

And did you angle the fan and thrust tube as shown in the Berkley drawing? It looks to be on the wing center line.

Boogie,

Be carefull with that Crusader plan from Vought. A quick check shows the top and side views don't match up in length. No telling how the sections scale out in relation to the top and side views.
