That will depend upon the airplane and engine mounts you are planning to use. In our testing with 'typical' engine mounts has shown that a spacer is not needed to clear the engine mount.

I did not need a spacer on mine. I will however, when I figure out how to remove the broken screw, use a couple of washers due to the leanth of the screw.

Thanks, I got one order. The BIS04046 is hard to find, everyone is out of stock. I see that Slimline makes a pitts for an OS .46, It may fit the Evo 10cc.

Pete, or someone at Horizon, can you tell me Why the manual specificaly prohibits using Amsoil Pro in the Evo .10?
That IS what I use in my Saito FG14 at 20:1, and I wonder why it is not bad for that one too? Or is it?
I hate to have so many gas cans & pumps, (now 4), for each specific engine I own that all have different reccomendations!. (Kind'a a nuisence)

I would like to run Klotz modelube in my engine. I'm running it at 32:1 and 40:1, for other engines. I have bought Evolutions mix oil for break in 20:1, but in the future would like to switch and run the same oil for all my engines.

We have some experience through our service department with Amsoil lubed engines that leads us to proceed with caution. In general the problem has not been quality of the oil but user confusion on how best to use the oil. As this engine is intended for users new to any engine as well as experienced modelers such as you, we designed the operating specs to provide the most reliable and user friendly experience possible.

Klotz oil has been tested and works ok. Please be sure to run it at 20:1 until we have more data on lower oil levels.

Thanks for clarifying the information Pete. I am breaking the engine in with Castrol 2 stroke oil @ 20:1 and after a gallon or so I will change to a synthetic but continue at 20:1 as I do with my Saito FG-14.

I've now one hundred minutes flight time and also enjoying the engine greatly.

We do enjoy flying year round with some nice days during winter. We suffer a bit of heat from June through September however.

In summer, I rarely arrive at the field before 3pm and then usually sit under the pavilion until five before getting serious about flying.

Well my 10GX is mounted up and ready to go. Yes the covering is wrinkled BAD but we have like 10% humidity right now. Not even going to mess with it until it warms up. The covering was tight as a drum and didn't have a single wrinkle when the plane came out of the box.
