The canard F-15 (Active Eagle) goal was to obtain STOL from shorter/damaged runways. This was to be done with the canards and thrust vectoring. The Active Eagle flew in 88' and the SU27 was barely entering service in 85'...I think. The F-15 entered service in 76'.

Being from St. Louis, I am a big fan of the F/A-18 and F-15. The F-15 can't even approach the capabilities of the F-22.

Very nice indeed. You can probably get away with less than 2g of weight penalty painting the entire airframe if you seal the foam with Polycrylic, and use Tamya paint in an airbrush. Just a thought because the camo version is just too awsome to overlook!

I was wowed by airshow demonstiations of the F-22, and think it's a remarkable design! But would favor the F15 or F18 over it any day. It is only good on paper and has been cancelled, as well as the F35 due to the pilots and airforces of the world (jsf programs) dissatisfaction with these aircraft. Upon further research you may find that these aircraft are just more misguided defense spending like the hundred dollar toilet seats of the past. Also the F22 has no combat history for a reason! Do the research and you will be disapointed as well. It actually makes me mad to know these things. But if you say that it ain't so, I have no quarrel with you or anyone else I'm just mad at the government for lying to us once again.

They are never ugly! Beauty in the making I say. I know you started this thread on the 5th, and said you were ordering gear. Is the 30g with gear? Eitherway, she is light. Waiting to see more. Photos are great, but I do know about holding out to show the prize when you get close! Thanks for posting and sharing.

Mad at the government or not at least these modern, expensive aircraft are made in America and make American jobs.
The truely scarrey part is Germanys military build up in the late 30s got them out of a recession and then the crazzieness that followed happened.

Looking good so far. Hope you get the rest of your gear soon so you can finish her up! Sounds like the motor you ordered is crazy high KV. Long dayso catching up in the easy chair. Thank you for the new photos and update, I so love the details.

The lipo fits perfectly in the fuse but its so heavy it is gonna have to be a S/MTD to get the CG right so that gonna be cool

This little motor is so tiny i cant weight to get the shroud to test this little guy

Is the castle 10amp progamable without the USB connection could i do it the old fasion way with the beeps? I also dont know the settings to use like timing PWM switching rate 12kHz,16kHz,24kHz and soft start since it is such a powerfull motor?

EDIT: I read the user guide and i can do it with the beeps so yeppe 1 less thing i have to buy!
