Yup, that's a wheel from a small GWS brand aircraft. They're nicknamed "daisy cart" wheels because of their resemblance to the wheels on an old-fashioned flower cart.
PS: THX, I miss the VWs I used to have. '66 Kombi and a '72 standard Beetle. My brother had a '72 Super. A friend of mine has a '65 Beetle and a super nice '60 double-cab pickup. |

Anytime. I've gone through two GWS Formosa foam fliers and I'm on my third. GREAT model, not much money...but not for beginners.
I swapped out the "daisy cart" wheels for some foam wheels with aluminum hubs off of a long-departed Ultrafly Cessna 182. Looks better without a weight penalty. If I ever replace this Formosa, those wheels are going on it. |
