Anyone wondered where all the 74s went ?
The most numerous class of sailing warships the 74 Gun 3rd rates, and yet none remain.
The last seventy-four, the French Trafalgar veteran Duguay-Trouin, and then later HMS Implacable was scuttled in 1949

Thanks for the history lesson. I enjoy watching the old Pathe newsreels but haven't seen this one nor the related short related to the campaign to save her in 1925.

Thanks for sharing that. It is sad to see. A restored 74 gunner sure would look good sitting in Portsmouth with Victory. : )
